Love Letters Strengthen Military Marriages

Did you know that August 14th is Military Marriage Day?

Bree Carroll took the initiative to bring Military Marriage Day to life, establishing it in 2020.

It's no secret that marrying someone in the military adds an extra layer of complication into the mix. Deployments, changing duty stations and last minute training events can bring a level of uncertainty into marriages that aren't faced by those in the civilian lifestyle. That isn't to say marriage is easy for those outside of the military life, but the Love Notes initiative was established specifically to benefit lovers in the military community.

This year, Veteran Pen Pal Project partnered up with Military Marriage Day to bring custom stationary to the Love Notes initiative. Couples can now download FREE stationary from the Military Marriage Day website and get back to the art and heritage of writing love notes. There are three beautiful stationary styles to choose from.

There are a number of additional marriage resources available within the Military Marriage Day hub including books, podcasts, coaches, clinicians and more.

In 2021 Veteran Pen Pal Project Program Director Camille Deal spoke with Bree Carroll, founder of Military Marriage Day. You can watch the whole video below. Are you inspired by the stories of strong love felt by military couples? Visit the MMD Youtube to catch more interviews.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for August 14th of every year! Military Marriage Day is sticking around to bring resources galore to help you strengthen your military marriage.
