It's A Military Life is a non-profit organization focused on supporting military families and veterans. Our mission is to provide programs and services that enhance the quality of life for those who have served our country. Our programs include the Veteran Pen Pal Project, which connects members of the military community (spouses, veterans, and active duty service members) with pen pals to combat isolation and loneliness; It's a Military Child Life, which provides resources and support to military children and their families; and It's a Military Connection, which offers networking opportunities and career resources.

MEET THE TEAM

Christina Etchberger
Founder and CEO
Christina Etchberger is the Founder and CEO of It's a Military Life Corporation. She is an Army spouse and a mother of two little boys, while currently residing in South Korea. IML began as a lifestyle blog and a community to bring the military community together, and now it has evolved into a nonprofit organization.
She continues to be a connector, by providing educational and resourceful programs for the military community as a whole. She is very grateful for her professional volunteers consisting of military spouses, veterans, service members, and fellow patriots. Christina looks forward to seeing It's a Military Life grow and serve as many people as possible!
Jennifer Woodford
Jennifer is an Army spouse, mother of two, at-home educator, and an experienced chaos coordinator of military family life. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an undergraduate certificate in HR Management. Organization and attention to detail in handling multiple cross-country PCS moves, several deployments, and homeschooling her children has been her strength and allowed for creativity in making things easier and more manageable. She has joined It’s a Military Life as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and the Board Secretary.
Wini G
Wini, a proud member of the Texas Army National Guard, offers a unique perspective rooted in a family legacy of military service dating back to the Civil War. As the child of a Vietnam veteran, she understands the importance of having holisitc support systems for military families at every level.
With a decade-long commitment to contributing to corporate and nonprofit organizations, Wini focuses on cultivating internal strength and resilience within these entities. Her passion lies in shaping organizations from the inside out, fostering a culture of unity and support that allows businesses to build both creatively and effectively. Wini's experience positions her as a catalyst for internal development, driving positive change and reinforcing the foundation of organizations that truly matter.
Suleyka Gonzalez
Suleyka is a multi-potentiality, mom of 2, USMC spouse and entrepreneur. She also volunteers in the military community providing support, and resources to military spouses who are seeking employment, pursuing a degree or simply needing a friend. During her spare time she freelances as a Virtual Assistant providing, administrative, technical and creative support to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Camille H. Deal
Special forces veteran spouse, mother of two, and business owner Camille Deal joined the It's a Military Life team in the fall of 2022. Her partnership with IML began with her serving as an ambassador in the early stages of developing the programs. She quickly jumped at the opportunity to support the organization on a higher level when a position became available as a program director.
Lourdes Camille Gonzalez
Lourdes is an Air Force spouse currently residing in Colorado. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she is bilingual in Spanish and English. Lourdes earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Penn State University. Among her interests are social work, wellness, children and books.
She is passionate about this community and loves connecting with other military families.
Jazmin Miguel
It's a Military Life Outreach Chair
Nonprofit professional and expert in social media marketing, Jazmin is a dedicated civilian volunteer for It's a Military Life. She has more than seven years of experience in the marketing field, and owns her own social marketing business. She serves as the head of social marketing and handles video production for all programs.
Tracy Gardner
A Navy wife of over 12 years, she has a deep appreciation for this community, and a determination to give back. With a BA in Communications and a Meta Certificate in Digital Marketing, she has a zest for all things social media, digital marketing, and project management.
Nothing lights her up like getting the job done. When she isn’t engaging with her community on social media or building graphics through Canva, you'll find her hiking with her two boys, practicing Pilates, or road-tripping across the country for fun.
Ashleigh Morgan
Dedicated Air Force spouse and mom, Ashleigh works behind the scenes on It's A Military Life Community social media. She has a background in social media and customer service background in addition to having more than 10 years of legal administrative experience including litigation paralegal, court clerk and nonprofit resolution support.

Ann Rodgers
It's a Military Connection Director of Operations
Ann combines her passion for service with a rich professional background. A military spouse with two children, she brings empathy and understanding to her role, grounded in her own experiences within the military community.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Paralegal Certificate, her career showcases over 15 years in operations, legal, and administrative sectors. In her role at It's a Military Life, Ann is eager to use her organizational skills and passion for continuous improvement to make a meaningful impact. A believer in the power of timing, she embraces the philosophy that everything happens for a reason, guiding her both personally and professionally.

La Pora Lindsey
It's a Military Connection Human Resources
Co-Manager
LaPora Lindsey has been a military spouse for 14 years. She and her husband have two children. After six PCS moves with her family around the globe, she learned the importance of embracing the opportunities that come with many challenges, including volunteering to connect with others, give back, and grow.
With over 14 years in career services with various organizations, LaPora’s passion and heart for helping others have led her to help active duty, military spouses, and civilians with their careers.
Deanna Urbina
Deanna Urbina has been a military spouse for almost 15 years. She has a bachelor's degree in Human Resources and also an MBA with a concentration in Management and Human Resources from Park University. With over 10 years working and volunteering with non-profit organizations, Deanna is excited to share that passion in the non-profit sector and working with military families with IML.

Michael Ramos
Veteran Pen Pal Project Lead Ambassador
With a family full of military service, Michael Ramos is a proud Marine Corps veteran currently residing with his wife and children in Australia. Nowadays, he is an "Active Duty citizen" in advocating on veterans' issues before Congress, encouraging volunteering and patriotic activities, and is an active member of several U.S. veterans service organizations.
